The Different Types of Bidet Models and their Benefits

Human civilization has caused improved living conditions in all aspects of life. Throughout centuries, changes were happening in health, shelter, food, hygiene, living conditions and even the way the people think about themselves. In the very primitive period, people depended on fruits and vegetables for food, there were no handmade clothes to wear, no shelter to live, no toilets were in use anywhere. When the population started to increase, people searched for improvements to living conditions through science and technology. Major breakthroughs happened in all walks of life but majority of the people still practiced some old habits since they were accustomed to do them as a common policy. This is true in the case of toilets and their usage among people of various countries in the world.

Now in places like Japan or China, toilet models are highly sophisticated with electronic
remote controls and functions. Perhaps the use of advanced toilets in developing countries, especially in their rural areas, started only about eighty or hundred years ago. Prior to that people used open spaces or they used specially made hide outs for the purpose. There exist different toilet practices, like use of toilet paper as seen in US and other countries or the use of water to clean the anal area without ever using paper to wipe out.

Bidets-The New Invention:

The common practice in India or any other developing country is to use bowl type toilet and use a hand held bidet that is attached to the regular water source to bathroom or toilet. However the most common types of toilets in these places are squat type toilets where people sit with their knees bent. The toilet is grounded in such a way that bowl type sitting is not possible in such toilets.

The bidet toilets were first originated in France and later became popular in other parts of the world. In America, the old bidet models consist of two separate units one for passing bowels and the other for washing the genital area. The present day bidets come in separate boxes and added to the existing toilet. The attachable bidets comprise seat type bidets, non seat type bidets or sprayers and hand held bidets.

Whatever be the variation in models, it is an established fact that all bidet toilets promote
toilet hygiene and good toilet practice in the family. A seated bidet having various functions to control, water temperature, pressure or other advanced features are highly suitable for senior citizens and physically challenged people. A hand held bidet is economical and can be used by all members of a family.Non seated bidet attachments still may come with temperature, pressure controls and hence suitable for use during changing climate conditions. From what has been described above, it is clear that the evolution toilet models  in human society is very interesting and only time can predict what would be the nature of toilets in the near future.
